Header Heroes: free to play in your browser
Header Heroes is one-on-one head soccer with oversized heads and a bouncy ball. Each player defends a goal at one end of a neon city pitch. Jump to win headers, time your kicks to fire the ball across the field, and score more goals than your opponent before the 90-second clock runs out.
Matches are short, so it works well for a quick rematch with a friend on the same screen. Playing on your own? Take on the CPU on easy, normal or hard. On a phone or iPad, each player gets their own on-screen buttons.
How to play
- Choose 2 Players, or Vs CPU on easy, normal or hard.
- Run left and right with the stick, A/D (player 1) or the left and right arrows (player 2).
- Jump with A on a controller, W for player 1 or the up arrow for player 2.
- Kick with B on a controller, Space for player 1 or Enter for player 2.
- Get the ball under the crossbar and over the goal line to score.
- Lead when the 90 seconds are up to win.
Game modes
- 2 Players
- Two players on one screen, pink on the left and cyan on the right.
- Vs CPU
- Easy, normal and hard opponents. Harder CPUs move faster, jump more often and rarely miss a kick.
Tips
- Your kick always fires the ball towards your opponent's goal, so get on the right side of the ball before you swing.
- Headers pop the ball upwards. Jump into a falling ball to loop it over a defender.
- The crossbars block both the ball and players, so a high shot can bounce off and come straight back.
- Kicks have a short reach in front of your foot – wait until the ball is close rather than swinging early.
- If the scores are level at full time, the match goes to golden goal: the next goal wins, so defend carefully.
