Memory Match: free to play in your browser
Memory Match is the classic pairs card game (also called Concentration or Pairs), rebuilt with glowing neon symbols. Every card hides a shape, and every shape appears exactly twice. Turn over two cards at a time and try to remember where everything is.
Play solo on the 8 pair classic board or the 12 pair big board and try to finish in as few moves as possible, or play a friend on the same screen: find a pair and you go again, miss and it's their turn.
How to play
- Choose Classic (8 pairs), Big Board (12 pairs) or 2 Players.
- Tap or click a card to turn it over, then turn over a second card.
- If the two symbols match, the pair stays face up and glows green.
- If they don't match, both cards flip back after a moment, so remember where they were.
- With a controller or keyboard, move the yellow cursor with the stick, d-pad, arrows or WASD and flip with A, Space or Enter.
- Find every pair to finish. Solo games count your moves; in 2 player mode the player with the most pairs wins.
Game modes
- Classic · 8 pairs
- A 4 by 4 board of 16 cards. Your fewest-moves record is saved on your device.
- Big Board · 12 pairs
- 24 cards for a longer test of memory. On a phone held upright the board is 4 wide and 6 tall; sideways it turns to 6 by 4.
- 2 Players
- Take turns on one device. Find a pair and you score a point and go again; miss and the turn passes. Most pairs wins.
Tips
- Flip cards in a pattern, such as row by row, so it's easier to remember where each symbol was.
- If your first card is one you've seen before, go straight for its partner.
- Every symbol has its own shape and colour, so remember one or both.
- Your best score is the lowest number of moves. A perfect 8 pair game takes 8 moves, but that needs a lot of luck.
