Neon Breaker: free to play in your browser
Neon Breaker is a brick breaker with a twist: some of the bricks fight back. Bounce the ball off your paddle to smash every breakable brick and clear the level. Eight hand-built levels lead into an endless run of generated stages that get faster and tougher as you go.
Play solo, or team up in two-player co-op with two paddles side by side and shared lives. It works with a controller, keyboard or mouse, and on phones and iPads you just drag your paddle.
How to play
- Choose 1 Player or 2 Player Co-op.
- Move your paddle with the stick, d-pad, A/D, the arrow keys, or by dragging.
- Launch the ball with A, Space or Enter, or tap the screen. It launches itself after ten seconds.
- Where the ball hits your paddle sets its angle: the edges send it out wide.
- Catch falling capsules for power-ups, and dodge the red shots fired by glitch bricks.
- Break every brick to clear the level. Steel bricks cannot be broken and do not count.
Game modes
- 1 Player
- A solo run with three lives. You get a bigger paddle than in co-op.
- 2 Player Co-op
- Two paddles share the bottom of the screen and one pool of lives. After a lost ball, the serve swaps to the other player.
Tips
- Your combo builds with every brick broken and resets when the ball touches a paddle, so long rallies through the bricks are worth far more.
- Orange explosive bricks destroy everything around them and can set each other off. Aim for them in crowded areas.
- A glitch shot freezes your paddle for about a second. Move away when a red brick starts flashing.
- With lasers, fire into red glitch shots to destroy them for 50 points.
- Multi-ball splits into three balls; you only lose a life when the last one falls.
- Clearing a level pays a bonus for each life left, so protect your lives.
