Sky Hopper is an endless jumper. Your little 8-bit hopper in her pink hoodie bounces on her own, so all you do is steer left and right to land on the next platform up. You climb from the rooftops of Neon City through the Cloud Layer and on into Orbit, collecting coins and stomping drones along the way.

It is easy to pick up for a quick solo run, and the 2-player race mode puts two climbers side by side on identical towers, so whoever plays the layout better wins.

How to play

1. Steer with the stick, d-pad, A/D or the arrow keys. Bouncing is automatic.
2. Run off one side of the screen to come back on the other.
3. Land on yellow springs for an extra-high launch.
4. Grab a JET pack for a short rocket boost straight up.
5. Land on drones from above to stomp them. Touching one any other way knocks you out.
6. Do not fall off the bottom of the screen.

Game modes

1 Player

An endless climb. Your best height is marked with a dashed line in the sky so you know what to beat.

2 Player Race

Split screen on the same tower. After 12 seconds the sky starts rising and keeps speeding up, so neither player can stall.

Tips

• Scoring is 1 point per metre, 10 per coin and 50 per drone, so a detour for a coin strand can be worth more than a few metres.
• Orange pads crumble after one bounce, so never plan to land on one twice.
• Purple pads slide back and forth; aim for where they will be, not where they are.
• A drone hit means a fall, so line up above drones before you drop onto them. With a JET pack active you smash them on contact.
• In the race, if your rival falls you win the moment you pass their score. If you fall first, they only need to beat yours.
• Use the screen wrap to escape: going off the edge is often the shortest route to the next platform.
