Traffic Hop: free to play in your browser
Traffic Hop is a lane-crossing arcade game. Guide a little neon robot up the screen one hop at a time: across five lanes of hover-traffic, through the safe median, and over a data stream where you must ride floating panels and packets. Land in one of the five docks at the top, then go again until all five are lit.
Play the endless solo mode for a high score, or try 2-Player Race, where both robots share one board and compete to fill more docks in their colour over three heats.
How to play
- Choose 1 Player or 2 Player Race.
- Flick the stick, tap the d-pad, or press WASD or the arrow keys to hop one square.
- Press A, Space or Enter to hop forward.
- Avoid vehicles on the road, and only land on panels and packets in the data stream.
- Reach an empty dock before your 30-second timer runs out.
- Fill all five docks to clear the level.
Game modes
- 1 Player
- Endless levels that get faster. Each cleared level pays 1,000 points and an extra life, up to five.
- 2 Player Race
- Both robots on one board over three heats. Whoever fills more docks in total wins, with score as the tie-breaker.
Tips
- Docking pays 50 points plus 10 for every second left on your timer, so a quick crossing scores more.
- Orange packets blink and then sink. Hop off as soon as they start blinking.
- Platforms carry you sideways. If you ride one off the edge of the board, you lose a life.
- Hopping into the wall between docks, or into a dock that is already filled, costs a life.
- Look for green power cells on panels or in empty docks: each is worth 200 points.
- In a race, the docks are shared, so taking the last few quickly blocks your rival.
